If you\u2019re a current California community college student or are planning to enroll, you now have the opportunity to receive more financial aid as a full-time student.<\/p>\n<p>With the Student Success Completion Grant, the more classes you take, the more money you\u2019re eligible to receive. You can get up to $8,000 a year to help cover education and living expenses. That means you can work less, take more classes and stay on track to get your degree faster.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>AM I ELIGIBLE?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You are eligible for the Student Success Completion Grant if you enroll full-time (12+ units per semester), are disbursed a full-time Cal Grant B or C. To stay eligible for this grant you will need to maintain satisfactory academic performance including a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or higher. Contact the financial aid office at your college for more information.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>FINANCIAL AID FOR FULL-TIME STUDENTS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>12-14.999 units \/ semester* = $1,298 \/ semester ($2,596 per year)*<\/p>\n<p>15+ units \/ semester* = $4,000 \/ semester ($8,000 per year)*<\/p>\n<p>*Funding is limited and awards are based on enrollment at the student\u2019s financial aid freeze date. Probation conditions will apply.\u00a0 Payments for a prior term are limited to completed classes only.\u00a0 Classes with Ws, FWs, EWs or Is will not be included for payment purposes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REMINDERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The student needs to have a full-time Cal Grant B or C disbursement in order to be considered for SSCG.\u00a0 Cal Grant A students are not eligible for SCCG<\/li>\n<li>SSCG may be delayed due to the student\u2019s enrollment in late-start (LS) classes.\n<ul>\n<li>We will review the students for disbursement once their LS classes begin<\/li>\n<li>This will include review for increases for students that are in 15+ units when their LS classes begin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are using the student\u2019s census date (like Pell) for any adjustments.\u00a0 That means there will be no increases for students that have added classes after their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/fa\/freeze-date-information\/\">freeze date<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHAT IS IT?
