He first began working at Palomar on August 26, 2013. Derrick is responsible for the structuring, implementation and management of a comprehensive environmental health and occupational safety program for the District. Derrick assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nProgram disciplines include:<br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u2022\tDistrict Emergency Preparedness<br \/>\n\u2022\tOccupational Safety<br \/>\n\u2022\tEnvironmental Programs (Air, Storm Water &amp; Environmental Assessments)<br \/>\n\u2022\tBiosafety<br \/>\n\u2022\tChemical Safety (Chemical Hygiene Plan)<br \/>\n\u2022\tHazardous Waste Management<br \/>\n\u2022\tFire Protection<br \/>\n\u2022\tAED Program<br \/>\n\u2022\tADA\/Ergonomic Program <br \/>\n\u2022\tHazard Communication Programs<br \/>\n\u2022\tInjury Illness &amp; Prevention Plan (IIPP)<br \/>\n\u2022\tDistrict Incident\/Accident Investigation &amp; Corrective Action Plan<br \/>\n\u2022\tProperty &amp; Liability Loss Prevention Program<br \/>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-2\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>Allison Tyra<\/strong>: EH&amp;S Analyst. Allison  started working as a full-time EH&amp;S Analyst in September 2023.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe Environmental Health &amp; Safety Analyst deals largely with the coordination of the District&#8217;s emergency response, which includes drills, evacuations, staff\/faculty training, and programs that comply with state and federal regulations. Along with emergency response, the analyst coordinates OSHA safety training for District employees, including managing the records and reports. They serve as the scheduler and recorder for the District&#8217;s Safety and Security Committee, Emergency Preparedness Plan Working Group, and Infrastructure Group. They also update and maintain all aspects of the EH&amp;S website\/related pages.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-3\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>M. Victoria de la Torre<\/strong>: Risk Management Analyst. Victoria starting working in EH&amp;S\/Risk Management in October 2023. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe Risk Management analyst administers the District\u2019s risk management and loss control programs and services, including insurance coverages and other loss prevention strategies.<br \/>\nRisk Management is also responsible for supporting, development, and administering elements of the District\u2019s COVID-19<br \/>\nPrevention Recovery Plan. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-4\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>David Williams<\/strong>: EH&amp;S Technician. David started working as a full-time EH&amp;S Technician employee in July 2018. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe EH&amp;S Technician conducts inspections and manages programs pertaining to life safety, fire protection and hazardous materials\/waste management.
