{"id":836,"date":"2017-02-20T10:32:58","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T18:32:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/?page_id=836"},"modified":"2017-02-20T10:32:58","modified_gmt":"2017-02-20T18:32:58","slug":"about-ehs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ehs\/about-ehs\/","title":{"rendered":"About EH&amp;S\/RM"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mission Statement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Universal Mission of Palomar College Environmental Health &amp; Safety\/Risk Management (EH&amp;S\/RM) is to promote the most optimal level achievable for a safe, secure, and healthy environment for employees, students, visitors and property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EH&amp;S\/RM strives to support Palomar Community College District by reducing risks and providing a solid long term foundation for education, work, the community and the environment.&nbsp; EH&amp;S\/RM will work with all levels of management, education, and the community to ensure we achieve these goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Department<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Environmental Health &amp; Safety\/Risk Management area of the Facilities Department is responsible for providing information, guidance, inspections, ergonomic evaluations, indoor air quality evaluations, hazardous waste pick-up, earthquake safety, emergency operational plans, coordination of safety training seminars and permit and licensing requirements, liaison between local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and a wide variety of safety and training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EH&amp;S\/RM area works to achieve these goals by tracking and reporting the major program activities on a monthly basis.
