{"id":231,"date":"2013-11-13T08:45:11","date_gmt":"2013-11-13T16:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/?page_id=231"},"modified":"2026-05-19T16:59:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T23:59:32","slug":"san-marcos-center-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/san-marcos-center-2\/","title":{"rendered":"San Marcos Site"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Services are available to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Children of Palomar College Students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children of Palomar College Faculty and Staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children of Community Families (Anyone living within the surrounding area)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The San Marcos Early Childhood Education Lab School (ECELS) is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (hours are subject to change).&nbsp;The ECELS serves children <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">from&nbsp;<strong>12 months to 5 years old.<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Now Enrolling!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now&nbsp;accepting&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/waitlistapplications\/\"><strong>Waitlist Applications<\/strong><\/a>. All families must complete the application, as applying places your child or child(ren) on the waiting list. <strong><em><strong>Incomplete applications will not be processed, so please answer all required <span style=\"color: #000000\">fields.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #227095;text-decoration: underline\"><a style=\"color: #227095;text-decoration: underline\" title=\"Funding\/ Subsidized Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/san-marcos-center-2\/funding-subsidized-services\"><strong>Funding\/ subsidized&nbsp;services<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span> are offered for Palomar College students\/ community families who qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New School Site<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We moved to our new site on the San Marcos campus in March 2016. We are located off of Borden Road, just past the soccer field, adjacent to Parking Lot 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/new-child-development-center-on-campus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">photos and video of the new ECELS San Marcos site<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fees and Enrollment Schedules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2025\/06\/Enrollment-and-Fee-Information-2025-26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fee Schedule: 2025-26<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2026\/05\/Enrollment-and-Fee-Information-2026-27.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fee Schedule: 2026-27<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests for a schedule other than those listed will be handled on a case-by-case basis.&nbsp;While we will do our best to accommodate families, consideration must also be given to our program goal of full enrollment.&nbsp;If a special request is granted that later prevents us from enrolling a new family, a two-week notice will be given, alerting the family that a schedule change will be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2025\/06\/SM-Parent-Calendar-25-26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025-26 ECELS San Marcos Calendar<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ecelabschool\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2026\/05\/San-Marcos-Calendar-26-27.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2026-27 ECELS San Marcos Calendar<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Immunizations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of enrollment, we must have your child&#8217;s <strong>up-to-date immunization record<\/strong>. The ECELS follows the immunization requirements that are made by the County of San Diego and the State of California. <em><strong>I<em>mm<\/em>unization requirements must be met before a child can begin, so please set your child\u2019s start date with this in mind.<\/strong><\/em> The start date on the contract is the date that fees will begin to be incurred; therefore, it is in the parent\u2019s best interest to ensure that immunization requirements have been fully met before committing to a start date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #227095;text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/Pages\/Immunization\/School\/resources-parents.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parents&#8217; Guide to Immunizations<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span>: Provides parents with information on the requirements for immunizations.&nbsp; Also explains the new laws regarding exemptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">USDA Nondiscrimination Statement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, family\/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs). Remedies and complaint filing deadlines vary by program or incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.) should contact the State or local Agency that administers the program or contact USDA through the Telecommunications Relay Service at 711 (voice and TTY). Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usda.gov\/oascr\/how-to-file-a-program-discrimination-complaint\">How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint<\/a>&nbsp;and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.
