Visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.palomar.edu%2Faccessibility%2Faccessibility-tools%2F&amp;data=05%7C01%7Cecervantes%40palomar.edu%7Cfba9442d4ccc45e9d03308db03142867%7Cdfa178eb10ca40c09667f4732f3381fe%7C0%7C0%7C638107157340196695%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=CQoXDrKkQAgMwSQbaLT9uMPMvu9IaMargPAJvDHmKGU%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ATRC Accessibility Portal<\/a>&nbsp;for more information on the built-in Canvas checkers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact the ATC (<a href=\"mailto:drc_atc@palomar.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drc_atc@palomar.edu<\/a>, ext. 2377, or LRC 127) for support if &nbsp;you find accessibility errors you are unable to fix on your own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Examine your Textbooks.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Alternate format material <\/em>also applies to textbooks you use in your course. &nbsp;If a student has <em>alternate format material<\/em> listed on their Accommodation Letter, please do the following right away:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check in with the student to make sure they are working with DRC\u2019s Access Tech Center\/Alternate Media Specialist to get an alternate format of the textbook that is accessible with their preferred document and screen reading software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What will DRC\u2019s Alternate Media Team do to make the instructional materials, including PowerPoints, pdfs, &nbsp;and textbooks, accessible for students with this accommodation?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alternate media production is the process by which the original formats are converted into a version used by the student.
