Educational aides<\/a> are individuals who are hired by the student\/student\u2019s family to provide assistance to a student with a disability in the classroom.\u00a0 DRC students seeking to have an educational aide\/assistant accompany them to class (either online or onsite) and\/or remain in the class with them due to disability will need to complete the following steps.<\/p>\n

  1. Schedule an appointment <\/strong>with a DRC Counselor to request Educational Aide to be added to the DRC Authorized Accommodation Letter OR if a current, active DRC student, attend a Drop-in with a Counselor.<\/li>\n
  2. Complete this form<\/strong> to grant the Aide access to your class (either CANVAS or onsite classroom).\n

    1. This form must be completed at least one week, seven business days,<\/strong> prior to the first day of the class or the first day you are seeking for the Aide to begin\/have access to the class.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
