This course introduces students to the basic skills and techniques required of modern journalists and digital storytellers &#8211; from capturing clean and compelling video, audio and interviews to crafting and editing short, character driven narratives worthy of your world&#8217;s attention.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Informal Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an online, asynchronous course that\u2019s a DIY production bootcamp of sorts. You learn about editing, photography, lighting, audio and writing. The course culminates in the production of a 1.5 &#8211; 3.0 non-fiction story (video package w\/interview).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong> You will need access to a computer that can run Adobe Premiere. We provide access to Adobe Creative Cloud at a discount beyond the student discount that Adobe offers. You can use your phone or any camera you have available.
