The courses you take are needed to obtain your Child Development Permit. The permit is issued by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctc.ca.gov\/\">California Commission on Teacher Credentialing<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are unsure of what permit level you qualify for, check the <a title=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/childdevelopment\/permit-information\/permit_matrix_12-2018\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ctc.ca.gov\/credentials\/leaflets\/child-development-permits-(cl-797)\/child-develop-and-school-age-matrix\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4689\">Permit Matrix <\/a>before you begin your application process. Please know that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/childdevelopment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/261\/2025\/05\/Child-Development-Permit-Changes-2025.pdf\">child development permits are changing<\/a> in name and in education requirements. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background has-large-font-size\">Permit Assistance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a;font-weight: normal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childdevelopment.org\/students-workforce\/applications\/child-development-permit-stipends\">The Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) Permit Stipend Program<\/a> helps pay the fees associated with the Child Development Permit application with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for eligible applicants. Stipends are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">The child development<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">&nbsp;<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">permit<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">&nbsp;<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">stipend is available to ALL<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">&nbsp;<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">permit<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">&nbsp;<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a\">levels<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: #0a0a0a;font-weight: normal\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">The CDTC reimburses $49 of live scan fees to eligible applicants, reviews all applications for completeness, and provides technical support via email for most corrections, often resulting in a smoother process for the applicant.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">If you have any questions, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">please contact CDTC at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:CDTC-Permit@yosemite.edu\">CDTC-Permit@yosemite.edu<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\"><span style=\"font-size: 16pt\">How to Submit Your Application:<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">Online Permit Applications <\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be able to submit your child development permit application on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.childdevelopment.org\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"www.childdevelopment.org\">Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) <\/a>website. The online permit application is a two-step process, and&nbsp;can be used for all types and levels of permits.
