SUMMARY:Virtual Info Session-Spring 26 Internship Opportunity: Work Experience in K-12 Education
DESCRIPTION:The K-16 Collaborative Border Region Talent Pipeline is pleased to announce a second year of the K-16 Collaborative Education Work Experience Programfor undergraduate students interested in pursuing teaching careers in K-12 education! \nSpring 2026 program highlights to share with students: \n\nPlacements are available with local K-12 educational agencies (LEAs) throughout San Diego and Imperial counties at elementary\, middle and high school sites\nPositions are for tutors and instructional aides. Local high school districts are seeking subject matter experts in a wide range of content areas\, including Mathematics\, English\, AVID\, Science\, History\, and CE/CTE.\nStudents are paid $20/hour for up to 240 hours (includes training and ongoing support)\nThe student application is open from September 27 – October 26\, 2025\n\nStudents can check out the website for timeline and FAQs\n\n\nTo learn more about the program\, a virtual Student Information Session is scheduled on:\n\nWednesday\, September 24th at 4-5pm\n\n\n\nStudents with a background in STEM are in especially high demand in K-12 education and are encouraged to apply! Please share the attached flyer with students and encourage them to sign up on our INTEREST LIST (students who sign up on the interest list will receive a Zoom link to the Student Information Session on Sept 24th).
