In this workshop, three educators and practitioners in the California Community Colleges (CCC) system will share their research and praxis work that continue to elevate refugee women/girls in higher education.This workshop will depict the journey of refugee women/girls from leaving their home countries to immigrating to the United States where they experience inequities. Those who attend this workshop will learn what strengths-based support and advocacy are needed for all immigrant and refugee women/girls to thrive in CCC. The recommendations for praxis can be applied to many immigrant/refugee population of students in CCC and higher education.
