PURCHASING DEADLINES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026<\/strong><\/h4>\n

ABOUT:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Purchasing carries out<\/span> procurement<\/span> procedures in accordance with all provisions of the California Education Code, California Government Code, California Public Contract Code, and District Board Policies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purchasing p<\/span>repares bids and maintains the legal requirements of the procurement process.\u00a0 We strive to assure<\/span> purchase requisitions are properly authorized;<\/span> veri<\/span>fy vendor sources; p<\/span>rovide users\/departments with current information on new products and services, alternative materials and cos<\/span>ts<\/span>; and p<\/span>repare delivery schedules and the quality and quantity specifications for items and services to be purchased.<\/span> We e<\/span>ncourage competition among vendors through negotiation, competitive bidding, and contract buying; r<\/span>eview contract and agreement language for requirements including hold harmless, indemnification, proper insurance levels and process the orders that relate to these documents; while also <\/span>e<\/span>nsuring <\/span>that purchase orders and contracts contain all necessary conditions, such as guarantees, warranties, governmental regulations, shipping instructions, free <\/span>on board<\/span> points (f.o.b.), credit terms and any applicable discounts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
