Who do we contact for surplus pick-up?<\/strong>
You must first fill out a\u00a0Surplus Inventory Request Form<\/a>.\u00a0 The completed form with all necessary signatures should be forwarded to\u00a0Surplus@Palomar.edu<\/a>\u00a0with a copy to Pai Wang-Smith (pwang-smith@palomar.edu<\/a>) in Fiscal Services.\u00a0 Surplus equipment\/furniture will be picked up as soon as practicable.\u00a0 Be sure to plan ahead well in advance of the need.\u00a0 Surplus items are picked up by Warehouse Services as soon as staff is available to do so.\u00a0 Often due to limited storage at the District, there is a wait time before this can take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important note regarding technology<\/strong>: The IS Department must deprogram technology (computers, tablets, copiers, etc.) first before<\/em> a surplus form is submitted.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How\/where is surplus equipment\/furniture sold? <\/strong>
Surplus items are sold via online auction through the District\u2019s CalAuctions<\/strong> online bidding platform<\/a>.  Auctions take place intermittently throughout the year.  All items are sold to the highest responsible\/responsive bidder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
