All general and prime contractors must be pre-qualified to bid for construction projects valued at more than $250,000. What does the pre-qualification process evaluate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A. The pre-qualification process evaluates the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s License Information<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Safety Record<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Civil &amp; Criminal Records<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Financial Condition<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Surety Information<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Insurance Information<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Project Experience<\/li>\n<li>Contractor\u2019s Past Performance Experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Q. What Contractors must be pre-qualified?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. All general and prime contractors must be pre-qualified to bid on construction projects valued at more than $250,000. Sub-contractors that are bidding to general \/prime contractors do not have to be prequalified.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Q. When does the pre-qualification expire?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Prequalification is good through the end of the District\u2019s fiscal year (FY). FY Calendar is July 1st to June 30th. Prior to the end of the FY, a Requalification Validation package will be sent out to the current approved contractors in order to stay on current Prequalified Contractor list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Q. How will I be notified of my pre-qualification status?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Contractors will be sent a letter via email of their pre-qualification status.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Q. If I have additional questions, who I direct them to?<\/strong><br \/>\nA.
