Images and Accessibility
- Web Accessibility standards apply to all the images on a website and must be treated by assistive technology (eg, screen readers).
- WCAG 2.0 Level AA is the current standard (see reference).
- The “alt” attribute is a short text alternative to an image that should be read by assistive technology. If the image contains text, this must be typed in the Alt Text field.
