A correct class placement is an important part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/stepstoenroll\/\">onboarding<\/a>. It helps match you with the English and Math classes that fit your major and education plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How placement works:<\/strong><br \/>\nYour first English and Math placements are based on the information you report, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The highest math class you have completed<\/li>\n<li>Your high school GPA<\/li>\n<li>Your academic or degree plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After you log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/my.palomar.edu\/psp\/palc9prd\/?cmd=login&amp;languageCd=ENG&amp;\">MyPalomar<\/a>, you will need to complete the Placement Survey. This survey helps you find your way around your MyPalomar dashboard and confirms your class placement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make sure your student record is correct.<\/strong><br \/>\nCheck that your program of study is up to date. Your placement is based on the degree or program you choose.<\/p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oaIQ0AiQabY?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Requisite Clearances<\/h2>\n<p>Assessment also perform requisite clearances for the following courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All English courses<\/li>\n<li>All Math courses<\/li>\n<li>Business 204<\/li>\n<li>Economics 101, 102<\/li>\n<li>Engineering 126<\/li>\n<li>Philosophy 200<\/li>\n<li>Physics 120, 200,\u00a0 230<\/li>\n<li>Statistics\u00a0 C1000<\/li>\n<li>Speech 105<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"65\" data-end=\"118\">You can submit documents to change your placement<\/strong><br data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"121\" \/>Students may send unofficial high school or college transcripts, or AP, SAT, or ACT scores. These can be used to update your placement or to get clearance for certain classes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"298\" data-end=\"423\"><strong data-start=\"298\" data-end=\"331\">How to submit your documents:<\/strong><br data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"334\" \/>Email <strong data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"366\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" href=\"mailto:assessment@palomar.edu\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"364\">assessment@palomar.edu<\/a><\/strong> from your <strong data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"402\">Palomar student email<\/strong>.
