A correct class placement is an important part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/stepstoenroll\/\">onboarding<\/a>. It helps match you with the English and Math classes that fit your major and education plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How placement works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your first English and Math placements are based on the information you report, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The highest math class you have completed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your high school GPA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your academic or degree plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After you log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/my.palomar.edu\/psp\/palc9prd\/?cmd=login&amp;languageCd=ENG&amp;\">MyPalomar<\/a>, you will need to complete the Placement Survey. This survey helps you find your way around your MyPalomar dashboard and confirms your class placement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Make sure your student record is correct<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Check that your program of study is up to date. These can be used to update your placement or to get clearance for certain classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Email <strong><a href=\"mailto:assessment@palomar.edu\">assessment@palomar.edu<\/a><\/strong> from your Palomar student email.
