{"id":14,"date":"2014-08-26T09:53:51","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T16:53:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/aods\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2022-12-06T15:30:22","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T23:30:22","slug":"internship-links","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/aods\/internship-links\/","title":{"rendered":"Internship Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students are encouraged to identify and obtain an internship site on their own.\u00a0 If you are having difficulty, the program coordinator is happy to assist, jfent@palomar.edu or Professor Nicole Rose at nrose@palomar.edu<\/p>\n<p>It is recommended you secure an internship 1 month prior to the start of the semester.<\/p>\n<p>There are required documents that <strong><em>must<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0be signed before you can gain hours at your internship site. Those documents are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enrollment Application and Statement of Cooperation<\/li>\n<li>Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between Palomar and the Site (many sites will have these agreements already in place, check with the AODS Program Coordinator or site supervisor).<\/li>\n<li>Service Learning Waiver of Liability (student will sign this the first day of class in AODS 298 and 299).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Sites need to be certified by the California Department of Health Care Services for the Certifying Boards to\u00a0recognize hours.<\/p>\n<p>You will need an Enrollment Application and Statement of Cooperation signed by your site supervisor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alcohol and Drug Treatment Listings.
