Archaeological survey, excavation, and archival research in Colombia and throughout Southern and Central California (1966-1989)

Head of the Palomar College Archaeological Certification Program (1975-1990)

Contributing Editor for World Cultures electronic journal (1988-1992)

Member of Social Science Computer Review editorial board (1988-1996)

Twenty-nine published articles and monographs on archaeology, biological anthropology, and/or computer related topics

Keeping up with the latest developments in the sciences (especially the biological and behavioral sciences)

Reading history, science, and other non-fiction as well as detective stories

Collecting British Empire postage stamps

Listening to music (especially 18th and early 19th century European opera)

Travel with my wife (my kids are grown and on their own)

Enjoying sunsets from my home in Cardiff by the Sea
