Elections occur every 2 years in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive Council meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. To meet with the Executive Council, please email the current PAA President. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the President (Elected in Even Years)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preside over all Executive Council and general meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shall develop and prepare agendas with the secretary and have them distributed for all meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delegate specific responsibilities to officers and committees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the overall operations and program of the Alumni Group.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with the Executive Council to establish and achieve group goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call meetings of the Council, recommend and direct the execution of policies and procedures together with specific programs in the interests of PAA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Convene a Strategic Planning Meeting at least once during the term of office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in executive council meetings, PAA meetings, and other events. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with members of the PAA Executive Council to identify representatives to serve on shared governance councils and committees, representatives to serve on hiring committees and to develop and plan initiatives that benefit members of the PAA at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the Vice-President (Elected in Odd Years)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shall perform all duties of the President in the absence of that officer and shall render assistance to the President.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist the President in coordinating and directing committee activities and the group\u2019s operations and perform such duties as delegated by the President.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ascend to the presidency after 2 years or if the President cannot fulfill the length of the term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in executive council meetings, PAA meetings, and other events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with members of the PAA Executive Council to identify representatives to serve on shared governance councils and committees, representatives to serve on hiring committees and to develop and plan initiatives that benefit members of the PAA at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the Secretary\/ Treasurer (Elected in Even Years)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work with the President in preparing agendas for meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record the minutes of all Executive Council and general meetings and distribute them as appropriate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as historian and custodian of the group\u2019s permanent documents (TEAMS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In conjunction with the President, prepare a detailed annual report.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in executive council meetings, PAA meetings, and other events. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with members of the PAA Executive Council to identify representatives to serve on shared governance councils and committees, representatives to serve on hiring committees and to develop and plan initiatives that benefit members of the PAA at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the Classified Administrator At-Large (Elected in Odd Years)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as a representative voice for their respective administrator classification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in executive council meetings, PAA meetings, and other events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with members of the PAA Executive Council to identify representatives to serve on shared governance councils and committees, representatives to serve on hiring committees and to develop and plan initiatives that benefit members of the PAA at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the Educational Administrator At-Large (Elected in Even Years)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as a representative voice for their respective administrator classification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in executive council meetings, PAA meetings, and other events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with members of the PAA Executive Council to identify representatives to serve on shared governance councils and committees, representatives to serve on hiring committees and to develop and plan initiatives that benefit members of the PAA at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Updated 05\/26 CN<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Executive Council of the Palomar Administrative Association is responsible for coordinating the duties and responsibilities of the PAA.
