Most woodworkers do not know how to design and build a comfortable chair. This class will lead you through the entire chair making process, from the flickering of an idea to the finished piece.

Topics will include design, history of chair construction, sketching and mock-ups, ergonomics and seating categories. Joinery problems particular to chairs will be examined. This two-semester class will be combined with the Tables CFT 161/162 class.
