CFT 198 - Advanced Finishing & Touch-up Repair

Applying historic furniture finishing techniques of glazing, shading, marbleizing, wood graining, crackle, faux finishes, gilding and French Polishing makes this a very challenging and exciting class. The student will also apply extensive and complex furniture repair and refinishing procedures on a piece of furniture of their choice. Learning to design painted surfaces, repair veneers and turn replacement parts is a must for the advanced furniture maker and finisher.
