CFT 152 - Veneering II

The following comments are excerpted from evaluations written by students who have taken this class:

"One of my favorite woodworking hobby is making various types of boxes.  I wanted to make my boxes more as a work of a fine craftsman.  I also wanted my box lids to stand out.  I was hopelessly running out of ideas until I took the course in Veneering II (CFT-152).  I was so amazed at how a simple piece of veneer can make a world of difference in the overall decor and/or design of any woodworking project."
"I can honestly say that taking the Veneering II class has not only satisfied my goal of making my box lids more interesting but has opened the doors to a more rewarding box-making hobby as well."
"I enjoyed the class and am pleased with my new skills and hope to experiment more with the double bevel and window methods.  Both...seem to me provide better utilization of the wood and control of grain direction and colors but I also enjoyed the packet approach."
"This was a very enlightening course.  The material was new to me and I learned a lot of new techniques.  I still find it difficult to guide my scroll saw along a line either straight or somewhat curved.  The corners, especially sharp ones, are hard to master.  The whole scroll sawing process requires constant focus.  I do find that a magnifying headset aids in seeing the lines better.  Also a good light because sometimes the blade gets lot in the line being cut especially when there is a shadow."
