Sometimes a class right out of the typical class schedule or business seminar just doesn't quite fit your needs.

You need a solution that:

                     • is specific to your situation and employees
                     • has no need for college credit given in semester lengths
                     • offers the convenience of on-site classes

But you still need to expand your employees' skills to keep up with ever-changing  knowledge and technology, or even perhaps to solve a problem that has come up.  Customized training on a contract basis is your answer.

Our instructors are fully qualified experts in their area of study and are skilled in the process of enabling student learning. We also encourage the use of Accelerated Learning, an innovative presentation technique that allows rapid learning of materials with longer retention.

Workforce & Community Development, in collaboration with San Marcos Unified School District and Escondido Union School District, offers English language instruction to over one thousand adults in the community each year.  Classes are held at twelve local elementary and middle schools in after-school and evening programs.  The Escondido Public Library also hosts a class two mornings a week.  Most classes focus on family literacy skills and other skills needed to help children succeed in school.  The classes are free to San Marcos and Escondido residents.  For more information or to register for these classes, please call 760-744-1150, extension 2826.  For information in Spanish, please call extension 2694.

Workforce & Community Development, en colaboración con San Marcos Unified School District y Escondido Union School District, ofrece instrucción en ingles como segundo idioma a más de mil adultos en la comunidad cada año.  Las clases se ofrecen en 12 escuelas públicas locales sea en la tarde, sea de noche.  La Biblioteca Pública de Escondido también alberga una clase de mañana dos veces la semana.  La mayor parte de nuestras clases se enfocan en la alfabetización de la familia y en las competencias necesarias para el éxito de los niños en la escuela.  La clases se ofrecen gratis a residentes de Escondido y San Marcos.  Para más informes, llamar a (760) 744-1150  extensión 2694.  Para informes en ingles, llamar a la extensión 2826.
