NEW HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES HIRING PRACTICES:
Wilma gave background information related to the new H.R. hiring practices. She stated that the Governing Board was advised by an attorney that Board members are liable for hiring practices. The Board, therefore, developed a new policy effective July 1, 2009, whereas all temporary student and part-time employees are required to go through the live scan process. Wilma stated that our division has a total of 513 courses. At this point, we have completed learning outcomes for 225 courses. She stated that the college goal is to have 10% of learning outcomes with assessments completed by March 2010. Marty Furch will provide training for departments.
