Fill out the
Cal Vet Fee Waiver form and send it in to the County
Veterans Service Office (see address below) with the following
a. Attach a copy of your birth certificate
b. Attach your CA 540 tax return.
You should do this once a year, usually after taxes are done on April
Once you receive your award letter from that office,
sign in to Palomar College eServices and:
a. Click on the link, "Apply for a BOGW"
b. After the application is complete, click on the link, "Printable BOGW form"
Bring the BOGW form and the award letter to the
Financial Aid Office.
Fall or Spring - last official class day of the semester
Summer - June 30th of the school year (example: Summer 2010 deadline is
June 30, 2010 with the letter stating benefits for the year 2009-10)
Note: Cal Vet covers the period starting with Fall, Spring and ending
with the Summer session.
In accordance with California Education Code 66025.3
Department of Veterans Affairs shall determine the
eligibility of any
applicant for a fee waiver under this paragraph.

may receive a waiver for each academic year during
which he or she
applies for that waiver,
but an eligible
