If you have an interest in or flair for beauty, the VESL Cosmetology program will prepare you for the skills necessary to progress to one of several private cosmetology schools in our area.
 

The Vocational ESL class is designed to help you learn English as you prepare for cosmetology school. It will help you get ready for the entrance exams as well as for the basic demands of the school. The VESL lessons will introduce you to the various subjects that you will be tested on in cosmetology school, such as working with chemicals, customer service, and hair and nail structure. The lessons will also help you prepare for a successful future in this career.

Cosmetologists are very much in demand in San Diego County. Earnings range from $9.50-$16.00 per hour with experience. Many earn commissions, which can range from $200-$1000 or more per week.
