I have a Bachelors degree from California State University San Marcos in Liberal Studies and an emphasis in Sociology. I am very interested in working in the public education system which is why I plan to apply to the multiple credential subjects teaching credential program and teach third grade. In the future, after years of teaching, I would love to get my Masters degree in Academic Counseling at San Diego State University. My main goal is to help students achieve their educational goals by advising and providing guidance!
I am a local San Marcos High School alumni, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology with an emphasis in Diversity & Change from San Diego State University. An aspiring high school counselor, in the near future, I hope to obtain my Pupil Personnel Services credential & Master of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling to serve as a community change advocate to help promote social equity & higher education for all. As a Senior Office Specialist for Upward Bound/Gear Up, I am able to grow in opportunities as I work with students in the student services sector while at the same time, experiencing all the behind the scenes administrative duties.
