The following documents form the application package:

2. Income Verification (ONE of the following)

a. Signed copy of your federal income tax form 1040 if you are an independent and/or a Veteran Affairs recipient under the age of 24.

b. Signed copy of your parents/spouse's (or other person who claims you) federal tax form 1040 if you are a dependent and/or under the age of 24.

c. If student/parents did not file income taxes, submit an Income Verification Form [ dependent- Independent] (also available in TRIO-SSS office) completed and signed along with supporting documentation from EDD/Social Security/Social Services for unemployment, off/on disability, AFDC, etc.

3. Copy of Social Security Card

4. Proof of Citizenship/Legal Residence

a. If Checked “permanent Resident” -resident/alien card

b. If checked “Other”- supporting documentation

5. Proof of Disability

a. If checked “I am a DSPS student,” either a completed DRC verification formor verification from a doctor or appropriate individual.

 

TRIO MISSION STATEMENT

Through USED Federal grants, we will provide innovative and supportive services and programs for low-income, first-generation, and disabled students, and their parents, while working collaboratively with the Palomar College campus, area schools, universities, and commerce and community organizations.

The TRIO programs staff, students, and educators will ensure accomplishment of the annual grant objectives and participants’ annual student academic and career goals and achievements.
