As the end of the spring semester draws near, it marks a time filled with many important decisions and responsibilities. These include achieving your best in all classes, meeting with counselors, and remembering your student responsibilities as a TRIO/SSS participant.
Achieving your best at the end of the semester involves completing big assignments, preparing for final examinations, and also checking to see if extra credit points can be earned to boost grades. Look into great opportunities like study groups, stop by the tutoring center for assistance, and schedule an appointment to meet with your teacher for advice on how to finish strong.
Meeting with a counselor can also help and please remember to make the most of your 2nd contact to discuss how the semester went, and what your plans are for the summer whether you are taking classes, working, traveling, etc. Also, it is important to remember that priority registration is June 3 for the Fall 2010 semester. With the difficulty that can be involved in getting all of your classes, it is extremely important that you get this done on time. This also includes applying for financial aid in order to not miss out on free money for school.
For those of you that utilized our loan service system, please remember to return all items before the semester is over so that we can continue these services in the future. If any students would like to donate books to our program, please drop them off to our office. This kind gesture can benefit many students! Finally, don’t forget to claim your prizes for the student participation incentive program by the deadline of June 18. Check with coordinators for how many points you have accrued and for what prize level you have achieved.
