Trio/SSS NEWSLETTER November-December 2009

Now that you have made it through the first half of the semester, it is very important to keep checking in with the counselors to ensure you are on the right track going into the spring semester.
Thank you to all the students who have participated in TRIO/ SSS workshops. The two we have had so far have been a great success! We are still planning more for this semester and for the spring so keep checking in.
Our Fall Tour 2009 field trip to UCI and CSULB is right around the corner, if you signed up plan on attending! We have reached maximum capacity but we have started a waiting list so if you are still interested and want to sign up, please stop by the office.

We have been a little camera happy lately and the flash has been going off a lot in our office, so if you haven’t already had your picture taken by one of the staff members be prepared to say cheese! Although our goal is to get everyone on our wall, if you do not wish to see yourself up there we still need a picture for our data base.

For those of you who are planning to apply to a UC or CSU school for next fall, be advised that the application filing period has begun for the CSU schools and will begin November 1st for the UC schools with both deadlines on November 30th. Please meet with a counselor if you need any help filling out the applications or have any questions.
