Board (TERB) Website!
This site contains all major documents that you will
need to complete evaluations of probationary, temporary, tenured, and
part-time faculty members. These documents can be downloaded for your
greater convenience in completing evaluation reports.
speaking, Palomar College faculty evaluations occur according to specific
cycles or timelines. Probationary faculty are engaged in a four-year tenure
review process with evaluations occurring every semester during that time
frame. Tenured faculty, according to CA Education Code, are evaluated every
three years. Temporary, full-time faculty also face a series of yearly
evaluations each year for four years, as do probationary faculty.
Afterwards, they are evaluated on a three-year cycle. Part-time faculty are
evaluated during the first year they are hired; thereafter, they are usually
evaluated once every three years. The academic year evaluation timelines
for each faculty group can be found on this site.
Spring, 2008, the Palomar Faculty Federation (PFF) and the Palomar district
completed negotiations that resulted in a revised contract. Although, most
of the evaluation article (Article 17) remains the same, one new feature
consists of a tenure/rehire appeals committee that will review, upon
request, tenure committee (TEC) recommendations. You will find the
version of Article 17 below should you want
to check any specific details.

and third Mondays of each month during the academic year at 3:30 pm in room
