THE PROGRAM
  The Palomar College Reading program is for everyone.  Those students who read well can make their studies easier by improving comprehension, vocabulary, and speed.  Those students who need to improve their basic skills can take courses to help them read and understand college-level textbooks.  Visit the Reading Center and see what it has to offer you!
PROGRAM ADVANTAGES
 
  • Courses provide personalized and individualized instruction based on students' strengths and weaknesses.

  • Curriculum includes strategies to improve your speed, understanding, memory, and recall.

  • The Reading Lab provides for practice of skills such as vocabulary development, comprehension, and reading rate.

  • Small group tutoring is available in spelling, vocabulary, phonics, study skills, eye training, concentration, and memory.

  • Programs are offered for students with learning disabilities.
