to explore the website to familiarize yourself with the layout
of the "classroom".

Directly
below the logo on every webpage in the course, you will notice
four links that will:
home
: return you to the course homepage
instructor
: open an e-mail message address to me (assuming that
your web browser is configured to respond to "mailto:"

You can use your regular e-mail software to address e-mail
messages to me.
Blackboard :
open a
new web browser window with the college online course management
system. This tool allows easy access to course content, private
chat rooms, and a web discussion board. You will need to login
using your student ID number as both username and password. (If
you have used this system in the past and changed your password,
the password will still be whatever you changed it to.) On the
left of the resulting page is a link to "Personal
Information." Please check this area to be sure your email
address is accurate; if not, please update asap and whenever you
change your email address. On the right of the same page is the
link to the Power Reading class site.

page for future reference.

you can print the entire introduction for off-screen reading or

module. This differs from the top row reference links in that it
