Academy
Orientation Information
Applicants
accepted into the program are required to attend a mandatory academy orientation
class. The class will be held from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm on the designated day at
the Palomar College Public Safety Training Center, 182 Santar Place, San Marcos,
CA 92069. Cadets accepted to the Academy Program must report no later than
6:00 a.m. for academy class on the day and time scheduled for the orientation
and in appropriate
courtroom attire. Cadets arriving after 6:00 a.m. will be terminated from the
academy program. All applicants must bring the following:
- Valid
picture ID
- A
personal check payable to: Department of Justice, in the amount of $75.00
(for fingerprints)
- A
personal check payable to: Palomar College, in the amount of $590.00 (for
material fees)
- A
personal check payable to: Palomar College (amount to be determined; approx.
$442.00 for tuition, health/accident fee, student center fee, and ID card)
- A personal check payable to: Palomar College in the
amount of $40.00 (for parking permit)
- Cash,
check or credit card for uniforms (amount TBA)
- Cash
only for physical fitness gear ($280.00 - $330.00)
- Failure
to pay using the method(s) detailed, or failure to pay the full amount by
the specified due date will result in immediate termination from the
program.
