Hello. My name is Thomas Plotts and I am the Chief of Police for the Palomar Police Department. On behalf of the staff and officers, welcome. The Palomar Police Department is committed to working cooperatively with the Palomar Community College District in support of campus oriented policing activities. 

Our partnership includes a problem solving approach with local governments, the community, private groups and concerned individuals such as you. The goal of this partnership is to work together to fight & prevent crime and to improve the quality of life for the students, staff, and visitors of Palomar College. The Core Values or Principals upon which we base our policing paradigm are both clear and focused.

The Mission of the Palomar Police Department is "In partnership with the Palomar College community, we are committed to providing a safe and secure educational environment."
