The Any group within the college community can arrange for a Palomar College Police Officer to conduct crime prevention education & training. This training covers a range of topics including personal safety, burglary prevention, traffic stops, harassment or stalking issues, restraining orders, or simply an introduction to the police community at Palomar College. Topics presented on a continual basis include:

All programs & presentations can be tailored to meet the needs of the audience, schedule, or to address a specific need within the campus community. Presenters utilize both multimedia and direct participation as a way to ensure that the audience has fun and is "engaged" in the subject. International students' introduction to the Palomar College Police Department (Student Relations Presentations)

Beginning in 2002, the Palomar College Police Department appointed a number of Police Officers to conduct safety, security, and law enforcement presentations for international students attending Palomar. The scope of the combined presentation detailed the relationship of the college police department to the student community, operational law enforcement fundamentals (community interaction), and the mission of the police department. 

GEAR UP Partnership Program

Each year the Palomar College Police Department participates in the GEAR UP program. GEAR UP is a federally funded program that offers a variety of early intervention services for local youth attending the San Marcos Middle School and in the 6th through 8th grades. The services offered during the program include career advice, planning, and encouragement for students looking for career direction.
