Yvette Marley

Biography

Yvette Marley, AKA: The Slug, is known by her classmates as the lazy couch lounger piled high with pets (we’re going for the visual image).  She resides with her husband, Ron, and is a transplanted city girl to the country.  Ron keeps moving her further and further from civilization and she is starting to enjoy it.  If you’re waiting for a list of her hobbies…the “couch thing” is it!  Yvette is an educational interpreter, with occasional forays into community interpreting.  She recently enrolled in the PInES Program at Palomar College in San Diego.  Her experience at PInES has been enormously informative and vastly entertaining.  She can’t wait to apply all the techniques learned from her instructors to both interpreting and future assignments.  She will be back in San Diego next summer, because she loves the natural high that accompanies sleep deprivation.
