I began to learn Sign Language around age three when we found out my two year old brother John, was profoundly deaf. I was fascinated with sign and learned quickly along side my brother. Some of my fondest memories as a child included going to speech therapy with John and playing lots of cool games. We did just about everything together. It’s no wonder I became an interpreter!
Becoming an interpreter was a natural choice for me. I love being involved in the Deaf Community, especially exploring the beauty of ASL. This language inspires me with its many facets and creative dimensions. I am currently working as an Educational Interpreter at an elementary school in Vallejo, CA. I thoroughly enjoy my job.
The joy of my heart is my 9 year old son, Asa. The love of my life is Alex.
We enjoy playing catch, swimming, backpacking, horseback riding and just hangen’ with friends, drinken’ coffee, (another love..shhh.. don’t tell Alex!)
