ELOINA ‘ELLIE’ ALARCON

Ellie’s Bio

My introduction to sign language occurred at a very young age.  My neighbor/babysitter in Mexico knew MSL(Mexican Sign Language), and she stirred the need in this heart to learn sign language.  Since that first introduction, I have come to learn ASL, which I have been doing for about twenty years.  Each day I learn wonderful new things about the language.  I have an Associate in Arts degree in Child Development.  I work at a fantastic elementary school  where I transliterate from English to SEE (Signing Exact English).  My favorite pass times are writing, reading, shopping and going to the movies.
