LUCIA RASCON
“LUCY”

She has been working as a Sign Language Interpreter for the last seven years. She has had an opportunity to work all k-12 settings, and for the last two years, at a middle school. Currently, she is in The Pines Interpreters program at Palomar College.
She holds a Distinction Award Certificate and an Associates of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Technician for the Physically Limited, an Associate of Science degree in Social Sciences, an Associate of Arts degree in Transfer Studies; all with honor, and she is near completion from obtaining her Liberal Studies Associates of Art degree.
She plans to continue with her education towards a Sign Language Interpreter Certificate and after completion, continue working towards a Spanish Interpreter Certification, as well as pursuing a teaching credential for the Deaf.
She loves The Lord, playing with her eight grandchildren; soon to be nine, reading, swimming and going to school, among other things.
