Dear Friends,

Welcome to another season of vibrant performances at Palomar College .  Each year I’m thrilled to discover the amazing talent and virtuosity of the young performing artists in our programs.  Join me on this voyage and you will discover a world of dance, theatre and music that will entertain you and expand your horizons.

When you enter our performances you will discover friends and neighbors who share a love of live performance.  Whether your soul soars at the sound of a Handel Oratorio or your body pulses to the rhythm of an Afro-Cuban drum and dance you will have a unique, shared experience with vital people from your own community. 

The performing arts have a unique ability to carry you away on a voyage of inner or outer discovery.  Our theatre productions transport you to times and places where you see the world through the eyes and experiences of the characters on stage. Our music concerts carry you away with haunting melodies, magnificent harmonies and transcendent solos. Our dancers defy gravity as they challenge the possibilities the human body in motion to create beautiful compositions that express the full range human experience from cultures all over the world.  And it all happens live, before your eyes.

Our performing arts community is a place where the human spirit is continually renewed.  It is a refuge of human contact in world of increasing isolation.  It is a place where we are reminded of how much we have in common and the qualities that make us great.
