Peter Gach: PianoPhase Palomar’s Artist-in-Residence teams with fellow faculty pianist Ellen Weller and other guests for a series of rousing duets in various styles. Featured will be Steve Reich’s Piano Phase, Weller’s 19:18 (scored for two pianos and “community”), and three new compositions by Jonathan Fadner. March 30 Palomar Chorale America Singing: Shape Notes, Folk Hymns and White Spirituals American choral music is featured, including arrangements by David Chase of music from the Sacred Harp tradition of the early 19th century and Kentucky Psalms by Alice Parker.
