required for a Certificate of Achievement Provides training in basic
technical theatre skills for career employment in technical production areas of
drama, music, and telecommunications. Also provides training for employment in
children's theatre, junior theatre, and community theatre. In order to earn a

exploration of cultural and social diversity through intensive investigation of
the short play. Students will study the works of several artists with varied
views and backgrounds, including segments on African, African- American, Asian,
Hispanic, and gay and lesbian theatre. Each student will also participate in the
acting, directing and/or technical aspects of several short works, culminating
in the performance of the "Short Play Festival." May be taken
