Deadlines
Full-time Faculty
Proposed contracts for the 2009-2010 academic year are due
September 15, 2009. (February 15, 2009 for faculty teaching spring semester only). Faculty must confirm completed hours by
May 15, 2010. Per Article 10 of the PFF contract, there is a requirement of 72 hours of professional development for the academic year.
Part-time Faculty
Fall 2009 semester
contract proposals are due September 15, 2009. Faculty must confirm completed hours by
December 1, 2009. Professional Development pay will be included in the December 20th paycheck if the December 1 deadline is met.
Spring 2010 semester contract proposals are due February 15, 2010. Faculty must confirm completed hours by May 1, 2010. Professional Development pay will be included in the May 20th paycheck if the May 1 deadline is met.
Article 10.4 of the PFF contract
If a full-time faculty member does not successfully complete an approved Professional Development Contract by May 15, the Professional Development Coordinator will recommend to the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President for Human Resource Services that the faculty member’s last paycheck for the year be reduced by an amount (in gross salary) proportionate to the activities not completed. For part-time faculty, the recommendation shall be that the last paycheck for the semester not include additional compensation for those professional development activities not completed by the first day of final exams in that semester.
