Teleweb combines telecourse instruction with an online component. Students enrolled in a Teleweb course meet with their professors and fellow students in a virtual classroom. Other course work assignments, discussion, group work, etc. is accomplished through the internet. Students interact online to receive information about assignments, send homework, participate in class discussions, and conduct research.
Teleweb courses at Palomar College offer additional flexibility for students to access video-based course material. In addition, Teleweb courses provide opportunities to further the student's educational goals by enhancing access to instructors, course materials and class discussions via Blackboard, an online course management system.
Teleweb students view lessons on a weekly schedule and communicate with the instructor and other students via the internet using Blackboard.
There are 3 ways to view your telecourses: Cox North-Channel 15 and Adelphia Channel 67, College Library Videotape checkout and at Escondido, Mt. Carmel, Ramona, and Fallbrook sites; online viewing using Blackboard Learning system.
