Oceanography at Palomar College: Program Information
Palomar College's Oceanography Program emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of ocean processes and focuses on local oceanographic phenomena. The program is part of the Earth Sciences Department and consists of three full-time and several adjunct instructors. At least 10 sections of Oceanography 100 Lecture and six sections of Oceanography 100 Lab are taught each semester.
Oceanography 101, which combines Oceanography 100 Lecture and Oceanography 100 Lab, offers students the benefit of a small class size and the advantage of having the same instructor for both lecture and lab.
