• The student must present a valid active California RN license to be verifiedby the Nursing
   Education Department. A copy of the RN license must be submitted to the College’s Records Office
   for inclusion in the student’s academic file.

• The student must have an official transcript of the diploma school coursework sent to the Nursing
   Education Department at Palomar College.

• Units accepted from diploma school: 38 units of the 40 units required for the major in nursing
   at Palomar College may be accepted from the diploma school of nursing.

• Two units must be earned by completion of, or challenging of, NURS 203, Nursing Foundation II.

• When the student has completed the General Education requirements for the A.A. Degree and
   the two units required in nursing, the student will be awarded credit for the 38 units of coursework
   completed in the diploma school of nursing.
