Palomar students, faculty and staff:
The PIC Card (Palomar Identification Card) available from Student
Services serves as the library card. Without the PIC card, the student I.D.
number of the borrower is used to check out material. Palomar students have
reciprocal borrowing privileges at MiraCosta College and Cal State San
Marcos. PIC cards are required to check out materials from these
institutions.
Reciprocal Borrowing Privileges
Palomar College students and staff may borrow books from
California State University, San Marcos
(CSUSM) and Mira Costa
College (MCC) Libraries, and students and staff from CSUSM and MCC may
borrow books from Palomar College Library.
Palomar students and staff:
- To borrow materials from CSUSM you must
go to the CSUSM
Kellogg Library in person and present a current and valid PALOMAR
COLLEGE PICTURE ID CARD to register.

To borrow materials from MCC, you must go to a MCC
Library in
person and present a valid, current PALOMAR COLLEGE PICTURE ID CARD
to register (note: the borrowing of art works is reserved for MCC
staff and students currently registered in MCC credit classes).
CSUSM and MCC Students:
Community Borrowers:
All other persons who are 18 years old or older may register with the
Library as a "Community Patron" to borrow materials. A valid picture ID and
proof of current mailing address is required.
