Palomar College - Learning for Success

 Student Learning Outcomes
& Assessment

Welcome to the Palomar College
Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment Website

The responsibility of the Student Learning Outcomes Council centers primarily on identifying, assessing, and evaluating student learning outcomes at the course, program, and institutional levels at Palomar College. The Council, composed of a broad representation of faculty, staff, and administrators, is here to assist with the planning processes related to student learning outcomes. We also acknowledge faculty and staff as the experts who will best guide their disciplines through these processes.

This website provides a variety of resources, including ideas and examples for writing SLOs, assessment models, and professional development and training opportunities. Log on to the LOC Sharepoint for comments and dialog concerning student learning outcomes, assessment, and accreditation. You can also link to the Basic Skills website to find out what’s happening with the Basic Skills Initiative and what resources are available to help improve student learning.
