Jon Chelesnik
(Executive Producer/RTV 197 Instructor)
Jon is a veteran national radio and TV sportscaster. His experience includes four years as a nationally syndicated sports talk show host for the ESPN Radio Network, and four years as a radio and TV commentator for The Football Network. Jon worked as a sports anchor and talk show host at XTRA Sports 690 in San Diego and is the former voice of the Anaheim Piranhas of the Arena Football League.

Curtis Bryant
Curtis is often referred to as “The Pride of Poway”. Curtis attended Poway high school, where he played football, as well as moonlighting on the field hockey team. He plans to attend San Diego State of Cal-Poly and continue his broadcasting carrier.

Curtis can bench press 500 pounds, and he even once saved 20-check that-50 kids from a burning school bus that was about to fall off a cliff, into a river, that was filled with megalodons, that all had rabies.

Ryan Brewer
Just because Ryan Leaf wasn’t a hit in San Diego, San Diego County, the Temecula Valley, or the greater Inland Empire, doesn’t mean the Ryan Brewer won’t be. Come join Ryan on The Starting Line Up and see the next big Ryan in sports.

Jason Golden
Jason grew up in the mid-west idolizing Indian University Basketball. He once met Bobby Knight while quail hunting, however Jason’s most interesting hunting experience came while on a trip with former United States Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney……but I digress.

Jason’s sports fantasy would be to cover the Indianapolis 500 as the play-by-play announcer.

John Scafetta
John is a native of upstate New York. John is a big baseball fan, and played throughout high school. He even met Jason Giambi and told him “You’re a great baseball player”. However that was before Balco became a household name. John has since vowed to sacrifice his first born daughter to take back those comments.

John hopes to one day to be a sports writer for a major newspaper, or be an announcer for a major league team. John is currently the assistant sports editor for “The Telescope”

Bryan Cooley
Brian was a running back in high school and he has loved sports his whole life, especially American rules football. Bryan hopes to transfer after next fall semester to earn a degree in communications and become the next great sportscaster a-la Vin Scully, and to a lesser degree Mel Proctor.
