Palomar College Jump Start Program

Jump Start / Learning Communities is a yearlong program for any SMHS, class of 2005 graduates attending PC in the fall.  Jump Start will provide services similar to GEAR UP at the high school level.  It will help students get on track to transfer to a 4-year university.  All Jump Start students will be required to take summer classes.  They must take a counseling class (110 - Transferring or 170 - Career Exp).  They must also take a math and/or a reading class.  If they take all three they will be given $100.  They will also have their books for these classes reimbursed
